RA-915 Lab for mercury analysis in cosmetic products

September, 2025 – Lahore, Pakistan. Golden Pearl Cosmetics, a manufacturer of skin, hair, and personal care products, has enhanced its in-house laboratory with the RA-915 Lab mercury analyzer to monitor product safety. The instrument was supplied and installed with the support of our reliable partner Bin Rasheed Scientific (Pvt.) Ltd.

One of the key Golden Pearl Cosmetics lab tasks is the control of mercury content in both finished cosmetic products (particularly skin-whitening creams) and raw materials. According to international regulations, the permissible mercury content in cosmetics is no more than 1 ppm (mg/kg).

RA-915 Lab ensures compliance with these requirements, providing a low limit of detection and highest selectivity and sensitivity thanks to Zeeman background correction. The analyzer does not have the memory effect, which means it allows immediate analysis of low-mercury cosmetic samples after high-concentration ones. In addition, the high throughput (1–5 minutes per sample) and the optional autosampler for 45 positions simplify routine laboratory operations.

Golden Pearl Cosmetics manufactures a wide range of skincare and personal care products for the Pakistani market, with part of the production exported abroad. Alongside internal quality control, the company plans to offer laboratory services for mercury measurements to other cosmetics manufacturers.
