Workshop in Montreal: Capillary electrophoresis – scientific principles and applications

Free workshop: Capillary electrophoresis – scientific principles and applications

Date: September 14, 2018
Time: 10 am – 3 pm ET
Venue: Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Macdonald Campus, McGill University, Montreal, Canada

Overview

Lumex Instruments invites the Industry and Academia to attend the upcoming workshop about capillary electrophoresis, its scientific principles and applications.

During this workshop, you will find out how CE can help in solving your analytical task and how it can be a cost-effective addition to a lab taking many routine analyses off chromatography and therefore reducing operational expenses.

We will also cover the patented streaming potential control technology. This is a fully automated procedure to efficiently determine and eliminate capillary contamination, thus improving repeatability of migration time and accuracy of analysis. The feature is unique and exclusive to Lumex Instruments CE systems.

In addition to the live demonstrations, this event offers a perfect opportunity for networking and discussion with the representatives from the Industry, Academia, and Government about various CE applications.

Please register to join our upcoming CE workshop for free.

Small changes in the program are possible.

Speaker

Dr. Vadim M. Okun, PhD.

Dr. Vadim M. Okun, PhD.

Vadim Okun received his PhD in analytical biochemistry from the St. Petersburg Institute of Technology. His research, in collaboration with the Russian Academy of Science, focused on the development of highly sensitive antigen–antibody-based detection systems. Afterwards, Vadim continued his work in analytical biochemistry first at the German Biotechnology Center, Braunschweig and later at the Vienna Biocentre, Austria.

Dr. Okun joined Lumex Instruments as project manager in 2005 and is responsible for the development and promotion of capillary electrophoresis (CE) instruments and related analytical applications. His areas of expertise include CE analyses of food and beverage, ecological analysis, and biotech assays.
